Sauðárkrókur

Sauðárkrókur is a town located in the fjord of Skagafjörður. On the 23. of December 1955 Fiskiðja Sauðárkróks was formed by the town of Sauðárkrókur and the local cooperative. 13 years later two other fishing companies, Útgerðarfélag Skagfirðinga and Skjöldur, were formed. There are about 60 people working in the fish factory in Sauðárkrókur making various fish products.
